Ah, the perils of organizing a drive. I tried to get T-Shirts w/a kinda cool look to them. Seems Time/Warner (yep, the same oh so generous folk who have robbed most of LA of the dulcet tones of Vin Scully calling a Dodger game) won't let me use Yosemite Sam as our poster boy. At least not according to the on line shirt printers I use. So, much to the horror and disgust and all around chiding from our usual designer (who was busy with his own project), I was left at the last second to change things.
Anyway, here's the entire route. Marianne and I did as much checking as we could on the road, but remember, this part of the world is a Cartographic Bermuda Triangle where road names and maps and GPS don't seem to always jibe. Still, it's great country, great roads, and some decent food along the way. Ultimately, it's all about THE most gorgeous valley in the world, Yosemite. Everybody needs to see it, an more than once. You might as well have as good a time getting there as seeing it.
