And another REAL car show! The Return of the Queen's English...on one of the hottest days of the year. We all know how English cars LOVE the heat. We had a betting pool about how many would make it home without overheating. Still, a good time was had by all, saw people we hadn't seen in a couple of years now, and even sold a few books! Enjoy this year's odd assortment of Odd English Iron:
A guide to real Road Trips. Road Trips on back roads. Road Trips eating at Mom and Pop diners. Road Trips of odd souvenir stands and picnic lunches. Road Trips of spectacular scenery where the journey itself is the reward. In these miscellaneous ramblings on all things Road Trip related, we'll explore the back roads, the funky stuff, and non-homogenized, unique places that make Road Trips a way of life.

Highway Earth Car Show!
WOW! Another Real Car Show. This time, a BIGGIE! Well over 200 cars, LOTS of people, and (gasp) NOT A MASK IN SIGHT! Yes, people, WE ARE BACK!.
Still not really "Normal," as it felt weird to be near so many people, Happy People, Car People and No Fears, beyond "Will my car start?" "What's that puddle under my car?" or "The port-a-potty is HOW far?"
The Highway Earth show is held at a neat park at the top of Coldwater Canyon. There's trees and even a lake! MUCH cooler than when we got home!
The Citroen Car Club showed up with a dozen cars (sadly for us, no Yellow Submarine--the throw out bearing went SQUEAL PIGGIE and died, so...) and, as usual, garnered a lot of attention. We were lucky to borrow Chuck's SM, so got to stretch the legs of this marvelous highway GT. Some time, I'd love to take one up 101 in the middle of the night, light rain falling, and Emily-Claire Barlow smoothing the night away.
Anyway, here are pix of some of the more Intersting Stuff:
